If you are looking for a very good book on history this is a very, very good choice in my opinion.

Please watch these two short videos.

The first video is about 3 and a half minutes long and is presented by a man who REALLY likes Julius.  The second video is about 9 and a half minutes long and is presented by someone who REALLY likes Cato.  In fact this second presenter wrote a book (along with the man you see seated at the right of the screen named “Soni”) about Cato called “Rome’s Last Citizen”.  If you are looking for a VERY good book on History this is a VERY, VERY good choice in my opinion.  By the way there is also a thing called “The Cato Institute” and they hosted the presentation in the second video.  The first video is by an Oklahoma University professor and part of a class.
So Julius wins the fight and takes over the Roman Republic.  Cato is unwilling to live in a world without the Republic and with Julius as the ruler of Rome, so Cato commits suicide in an AMAZINGLY grizzly fashion!  However, just a couple of years after his take over Julius will himself be murdered, by men who officially state the killed Julius “to save the Republic”.  Your assignment, what would have happened if Cato had stayed alive when Julius took over?  specifically would he have been able to restore the Republic?  Explain your opinion and site at least two historical examples as support of your opinion.
